Reservation Please

One of the things that stuck out today for me was when it was said that the reason reservations were started in the first place was because it was less expensive at the time than simply killing all the Native Americans. What!?!?!? Are you kidding me?!?!?!? The president of the United States at the time wanted to slaughter the Native Americans, but bullets were so expensive that it became cost effective to simply place them on plots of land and leave them alone so that the American government wouldn't have to deal with "the problem".  That is so outrageous, and I can't believe that more people don't know about this atrocity.

Smoke Signals

Im really excited to see "Smoke Signals"! Sherman Alexie is a beast, so Im sure the movie based off his stuff is gonna be pretty good.  I remember when it first came out and there was a lot of hype about it.
